Nokia X now available with 500MB of 3G data for 3 months on Airtel




Nokia and Airtel have announced a data-bundling offer for the company’s Android-based X smartphone buyers. According to the scheme, Airtel prepaid customers buying the Nokia X smartphone will get 500MB of free Airtel 3G data per month for 3 months.The offer will be applicable for existing as well as new Airtel prepaid subscribers. Also for those buyers who are in non-3G circles, Airtel will run similar benefit scheme on 2G data.

After exhausting the free 500MB of data, customers will be charged at 3p/10KB on 3G network (10p/10KB in 2G circles). This scheme can be availed till June 30, 2014.

Nokia had unveiled the X smartphone along with the X+ smartphone at MWC event held in February and launched it in India recently for Rs 8,599. The phone runs on forked version of the software, and comes with Nokia’s own apps, Microsoft’s services and third party app Stores, which replace the Google’s Play store and other services like Gmail and Maps. Microsoft is also offering buyers 7GB of free OneDrive storage.

In terms of specifications, it comes with a 4-inch WVGA (800×480 pixels) LCD display with a pixel density of 233ppi, is powered by 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor with 512MB of RAM, and 4GB of internal storage expandable up to 32GB using a microSD card. Other features include a 3-megapixel rear camera with fixed focus, f/2.8 aperture and 4X digital zoom, a 1,500mAh battery, an FM Radio and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots, 3G support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
