Xolo A510S launched in India for Rs 7,499: Features, specifications and comparison

Xolo has added yet another device in its 500-series called the A510S. This new mid-range device seems to be the successor to the A500S, which was launched in August last year, and is priced at Rs 7,499.

As far as the specifications are concerned, the A510S sports a 4-inch FWVGA (854×480 pixels) display with a pixel density of 245ppi and is powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek MTK6572 dual-core SoC paired with Mali-400 GPU and 1GB of RAM. In comparison, the A500S featured a 4-inch WVGA display with a pixel density of 233ppi and 512MB of RAM.

Other features include a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, VGA front camera, 4GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card and a 1,400mAh battery, which the company claims is good enough for 13 hours of talktime and 424 hours on standby mode.

Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 3G support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and on the software front, it runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. As for competition, the A510S will be up against the likes of Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2. But for Rs 400 more you could opt for the Lava Iris 458q, which not only is powered by a quad-core processor, but also features an 8-megapixel rear camera and a bigger 2,000mAh battery.
